DOT CDL Physicals

DOT physicals

Driving a commercial vehicle means long, hard hours on the road. DOT (Department of Transportation) physicals help keep drivers safe by making sure that they are able to meet the physical demands of the job. Drivers must meet all DOT CDL physicals requirements before receiving their CDL medical card.

A Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination must be conducted by a licensed “medical examiner” listed on the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) National Registry.

A DOT physical exam is valid for up to 24 months. The medical examiner may also issue a medical examiner’s certificate for less than 24 months when it is desirable to monitor a condition, such as high blood pressure, diabetes, sleep apnea, etc. The fact that you come and pay for a DOT consult is not a guarantee you will get one. Our physicians are here to ensure safety for the driver and highway/interstate users.

Our clinicians are certified by the FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and are specially trained to understand DOT regulations. In order to get the certification you will need to get an appointment.
